To match the tongue in cheek exploration of youth, hate, money, greed, passion, adultery and rebellion that is Honey by the Sydney band Monstress we created a world of chaos, sugar, excess and colour.
A battle cry of everything the funk collective holds dear we needed to match the energy of the all female group with visuals that screamed and laughed alongside the track. After the original idea was rendered impossible by weather and a looming label deadline to have photo material, promotional content and a music video ready, we thought on our feet and built a concept and shot it all in one day, all within the confines of a single flat.

Work
A high energy chaotic music video that descends from cool control to unbridled hedonism and then grotesque excess and chaos. Pair this with medium format film photos taken during the video shoot to make the most of limited time and you get Honey; A stylish and raucous world of striking visuals and high energy fun that reflects the bands core brand.
